Day 273 - Different Nationalities Bonded by a Common Language: Meeting Fellow Tamil(ians) Abroad

Day 273 (01 Oct 2023) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

DAY 273 (01 OCT 2023) – In the morning, Mr Kartik prepared some tasty ‘Upma’ for breakfast. We then visited several Hindu temples to seek blessings. At first, we visited the Wisconsin Shirdi Sai Temple.

We then headed to the beautiful Wisconsin Hindu Temple.

Later, we visited the home of Mr Balu, who is a good friend of Mr Kartik. I also met his wife, Madam Santhya and their son, Vethu.

I had another hearty delicious vegetarian South Indian meal for lunch – There was rice, ‘sambar’, ‘rasam’, ‘appalam’, yogurt, omelette, pickles and several vegetable dishes! There was also ‘payasam’ and ‘vadai’!

We were joined by Madam Santhya’s friend, Madam Aruna and her 2 children. Her husband was in Hyderabad at the time of my visit. It was a very friendly and nice atmosphere, chatting and getting to know everyone over lunch.
