Day 235 - Exploring Dublin: A Journey into the Heart of Ireland's Vibrant Capital

Updated: Sep 27, 2023

Day 235 (24 Aug 2023) - Dublin, Ireland

DAY 235 (24 AUG 2023) – In the morning, I got on the “Hop On Hop Off Bus” and spent the day exploring the city of Dublin. The ticket cost me 30 euros (RM 151) and it was valid for 24 hours with 25 different stops.

The bus travelled through the streets of Dublin, giving me a glimpse of this vibrant city.

The River Liffey flows through the centre of Dublin to its mouth within Dublin Bay. The river supplies much of Dublin's water and supports a range of recreational activities.

I also got to see the various iconic buildings, including the famous Guinness Storehouse, a seven-story museum located at St James Gate Brewery.

This historical brewery was founded in 1759 by Arthur Guinness, the inventor of the world-famous Guinness beer. Yes, to those who don’t know, Guinness is an Irish invention and the museum is dedicated to presenting the history of this Irish dry stout, from its humble beginnings to its global recognition today.

Ireland also has a very vibrant night life, since pubs are a basic part of the Irish social scene.
