Day 217 (06 Aug 2023) - Bilbao, Spain to Poitiers, France
DAY 217 (06 AUG 2023) – It was time to say ‘adios’(goodbye) to Spain, so I left Bilbao for a 7 hour journey to Poitiers, France. Poitiers is a city on the River Clain in west-central France. This city is famous for its Romanesque art and centuries of medieval history.
The city still maintains its old world charm, as much of the buildings here have historical architecture, some dating back to medieval times. During my brief stay here, I found the city to be quiet with less vehicles on the road and less people visible on the streets.
It was also interesting to see some cute cottage-like homes with plants and shrubs growing on the outer walls of the home.
