Day 187 (07 July 2023) - Helsinki, Finland!
DAY 187 (07 JULY 2023) – I spent the day exploring the city centre with my friend, Mr Neil, who I met at the hostel. Mr Neil (70), is a Sri Lankan who has been in Finland for the last 50 years. We hopped on the tram and took a tour around the city.
We visited the Senate Square where I got to see the iconic Helsinki Cathedral, which was built in the 19th century.
It was interesting to see what we would consider as luxury cars back home, being used as taxis!
Apparently, in many European countries, Mercedes Benz offers huge discounts on cars used for Taxi services.
This explains why there were so many Mercedes taxis around, particularly the 5-seat Mercedes Benz Sedan!
