Day 186 (06 July 2023) - Helsinki, Finland!
DAY 186 (06 JULY 2023) - It was a rainy day today as I walked around exploring the city.
Later, I met up with Shawn (27), who helped to book my hotel in Helsinki. He was introduced to me by my Malaysian friend, Jeshurun. He is a chemical engineer and works at Neste, a company that refines residues and wastes to renewable fuels.
A few days ago, since I was having difficulties with online booking from within Russia, Shawn helped to book my hostel in Helsinki. Today, I wanted to pay him for the hostel booking but he refused to accept and wanted to sponsor my stay in Helsinki. He expressed his interest in planting a tree later when he is free from his busy work schedule. I am thankful for his kind generosity.
