Day 179 (29 June 2023) - Nizhny Novgorod(NN) to Moscow, Russia
DAY 179 (29 JUNE 2023) – I left Nizhny Novgorod for a 7-hour ride to Moscow. Despite the political events that unfolded last weekend, there were no road restrictions or any other problems. It was a smooth journey all the way.
My biker friend, Sergei invited me to stay in his house. I met Sergei a few weeks ago while I was on the way to Chita, and again in Ulan Ude. He had gifted me a pair of weather-proof hand gloves.
I arrived at his beautiful home and met his wonderful family. He lives about 100 kms away from Moscow City. His wife’s name is Jurate and they have 2 daughters, Margarita and Victoria, and a son, Alexander. Alexander is a mechanical engineer and Margarita is studying to be a lawyer, while 10 year old Victoria is still in school.
Sergei runs a lathe machine shop while his wife works at his office as an administrator and accountant. They prepared delicious dinner and we had a good chat all the way till 11 pm.
