Day 174 - Embracing Russian Hospitality: Arriving at My Friend's Home After a 6-Hour Journey to Perm

Day 174 (24 June 2023) - Yekaterinburg to Perm, Russia

DAY 174 (24 JUNE 2023) (continued) – I arrived in Perm after a 6 hour journey, and met up with Slava. A few days ago, I had met Slava at Sky Hostel in Yekaterinburg and he invited me to visit him in Perm.

I parked my motorbike at his apartment complex, and we both hopped on a tram heading to the city centre. It was my first time getting on a tram, which I had come across in a few recent countries I visited.

Perm is a beautiful city located upon a hilly terrain near the Ural Mountains. It is well-known for its ancient history, limestone caves and wild rivers.

Here too, I got the chance to see many amazing historical and architectural buildings and churches.

I stayed the night at Slava’s apartment, where he lives with his wife who is currently expecting. He works as an engineer at an oil and gas company. I also met his friend, Artemi.
