Day 167 (17 June 2023) - Shebalinsky to Novokuznetsk, Russia
DAY 167 (17 JUNE 2023) – In the morning before checking out, I had a friendly chat with the owner of the guest house. I conversed in English with her 2 lovely kids who are currently in school and also learning English.
Since Natasha was leaving for Chita, we said our goodbyes and wished each other well on our journeys. We met at the Mongolian border and I am thankful to her for her help, kindness and generosity.
The rest of us then left Shebalinsky for a 6 hour ride to Novokuznetsk. We arrived at Nikolay’s apartment in Novokuznetsk, where I met Nikolay’s wife, Anna and 2 of his 4 kids. Nikolay runs a motorbike shop while Anna works in a supermarket.
Evgeniy and I stayed in one of Nikolay's apartments. In the evening, we walked around the neighbourhood and went for dinner.
