Day 164 (14 June 2023) - Tsagaannuur, Mongolia to Tashanta, Russia to Aktash, Russia
DAY 164 (14 JUNE 2023) – Early in the morning, I left my hostel in Ulgii for the Tsagaannuur border post since I was headed back to Russia.
There was a long queue of particularly heavy vehicles lined up, waiting for the check post to open.
There were only 2 motorbikes waiting at the front of the line – me and another fellow biker, Natasha. Natasha is a Russian businesswoman and had spent 6 days travelling around Mongolia on her Honda motorbike.
As they opened the check post barrier, Natasha guided me throughout the customs and immigration process - right from the Mongolian check post at Tsagaannuur to the Russian check post at Tashanta, which was about 23 km away. I crossed the border to Russia without any issues.
Since Natasha and I were headed in the same direction, we rode our individual motorbikes and headed to our destination together.
