Day 140 (21 May 2023) - Seoul to Donghae, South Korea
DAY 140 (21 MAY 2023) –I spent the morning strolling around the city and decided to have breakfast at Starbucks. It was a bad idea since I paid about RM 33 just for a croissant and a cup of coffee!
I was surprised to see a long line in front of times square at 10 am. An English speaking Korean guy told me that many people were lining up since 3 am in the morning just to get into the Rolex store!
Apparently, since Rolex watches are manufactured in limited quantities, people can trade in their Rolex watch or sell it at a price that is 17%-25% higher! The trade takes place every 2 weeks, with only 30 people allowed in! This is the first time I’ve heard of such a thing!
Later, I left for a 2 hour ride to Donghae, after spending 2 nights in Seoul. I stopped by the highway at a place called Namyangju-Si just to enjoy the view.
My motorbike engine kept getting heated up as there were many traffic light stops along the way, but I reached my destination without any hiccups!
