Day 134 (15 May 2023) -Nagasaki to Omura, Japan
DAY 132 (13 MAY 2023) – I left Nagasaki city for Omura, about 40 mins (40 km) from the city. Before heading there, I decided to take a detour to Unzen Onsen, which was an hour away from the city.
Although it was raining the whole day since 5 am in the morning, I enjoyed riding through beautiful landscapes. I rode my motorbike through curvy mountainous routes surrounded by thick forest and lush greenery!
The destination was worth it – I got to see natural hot spring lakes in the mountains, for the first time! Unzen Onsen is a geothermally heated active volcanic hot spring field in the Unzen Mountains.
This place is about 600 meters above sea level and it is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes I’ve come across since I started this journey!
