Day 130 (11 May 2023) - Fukuoka to Karatsu, Japan
DAY 130 (11 MAY 2023) – Since I got my ferry to South Korea confirmed and motorcycle fully serviced, I decided to head to Nagasaki, instead of sitting idle till 16th of May 2023.
I stayed at Karatsu for a night, which was 1 hour away from Fukuoka. Here I met Koni, a fellow hostel mate. Koni is from Korea and he is on a journey travelling through Asia on his bicycle! Currently, he took 16 days leave from his work in Korea to travel around Japan!
After having lunch together at a restaurant near our hotel, we took the train to Nijino Matsubara. From there, we headed to the hot spring bathhouse in Kagamiyama. It was an interesting experience to try out the Japanese hot spring baths. The bathhouse had separate bath areas for men and women.
Japanese hot spring, also known as ‘onsen’ in Japan, are typically natural hot water baths rich in beneficial minerals.
