Day 104 (15 April 2023) - Melbourne, Australia
DAY 104 (15 APR 2023) - Today I turn 62. Coincidentally, it is not only the same date, but also the exact day (Saturday) I was born. Mr Chandra surprised me with a birthday cake in the morning and cooked some delicious mutton curry and chicken ‘varuval’ (spicy dry-fried chicken) for lunch.
Later in the evening, I cut a 2nd cake in the presence of Mr Vasu, Mr Chandra and another housemate, Mr Sandeep. We had a mini celebration and dinner together. I felt like a young birthday boy!
I am very thankful to the 3 of them for making me feel welcome in their home in the 2 weeks that I have stayed in this house. They took care of me like family – I had great home cooked food and made new friends. They also took me around Melbourne.
I am very grateful for their friendship, generosity and hospitality!
