Day 093 (04 April 2023) - Melbourne, Australia
DAY 093 (04 APR 2023) – Today, I had a meeting with the airfreight forwarding agent regarding the transportation of my bike to Japan - which would most probably be next week considering the Good Friday and Easter Sunday public holidays this weekend. This time, I’m more prepared for the delays but also hoping all will go according to plan.
Later, I rode my bike to the bustling city of Melbourne. It is the 2nd most populous city in Australia.
I captured photos of some interesting places and buildings in the city.
While most helipads can be found on top of high-rise buildings, the Melbourne Helipad was situated in the city at a park called Batman Park on the banks of the Yarra river. Visitors can take a scenic helicopter tour over Melbourne’s famous landmarks.
Then there were the tram cars! It was interesting to see vehicles travelling on the road alongside the tram cars, which were running in both directions right in the middle of a small two-way street. A tram is a rail vehicle that travels on tramway tracks on public urban streets.
