Day 089 - Horsham Unveiled: Discovering the Old Charm of Victoria's Heartland

Updated: Oct 5, 2023

Day 089 (31 Mar 2023) - Adelaide to Horsham, Australia

DAY 089 (31 MAR 2023) – I Left Adelaide for Melbourne. After 4 ½ hour journey for about 430 km, I decided to stay one night at a city called Horsham.

Since there were no backpackers hostel here, I stayed at the Royal Hotel. It cost AUD 59 (RM 174) per night.

Horsham is the largest city in the Wimmera district known for wheat growing and sheep grazing - catering to the wheat and wool industry.

There are many historical buildings around the city with fascinating olden day architecture that are still preserved till today.

I found the city to be very clean and quiet. The weather was cold at a temperature of 17 C.
