Day 083 (25 Mar 2023) - Darwin to Elliott, Australia
DAY 083 (25 MAR 2023) – I stopped by the roadside a couple of times to capture some interesting sightings.
I came across many huge termite mounds (nests) on both sides of the road.
Apparently, these large structures are unique in the Northern parts of Australia and some have been around for up to 100 years!
At one point, I saw a large monitor lizard in the middle of the road –not sure if it was stuck, lost or just sun-bathing! As I got closer to it, it ran towards its habitat.
Also, didn’t miss the chance to take a picture of an abandoned plane at the side of a road!
