Day 082 - Seeking Divine Blessings: Visiting a Hindu Temple in Darwin Before My Riding Journey

Day 082 (24 Mar 2023) - Darwin, Australia

DAY 082 (24 MAR 2023) – Took my motorbike, ‘Parameswara’ to a Ganesha Temple, about 18 minutes away from the hotel. Visited this temple a few days ago with a friend – this time I came back with my motorbike to get it blessed by the priest. I seeked blessings from Lord Ganesha for a smooth journey ahead and stayed awhile to enjoy the quiet serenity of the place.

This temple is situated on a large piece of land - surrounded by a garden full of trees. There is also a mini playground for children of devotees who visit the temple, and a mini fountain area. Just like many public places in Darwin, or perhaps Australia itself, there are disabled-friendly facilities provided here as well.

I fuelled up the motorbike for the first time in Australia - filled up a full tank (about 27 litres) at the price of AUD 1.785, which came to about RM 142.38. Back in Malaysia, a full tank on my motorbike is about RM 60.
