Day 055 (25 Feb 2023) - Dili, Timor-Leste
DAY 055 (25 FEB 2023) – Later in the evening, Boy Sabak and his family gave me a farewell dinner. They gifted me a ‘selendang’ – now I have collected at least six of them.
Boy Sabak has been with me throughout my entire stay in Timor-Leste. He helped me to run some errands in Dili and introduced me to other wonderful people. He also took me to visit several beautiful places. I will never forget the muddy incident with my bike and us getting stranded in Venilale! When I was down with fever last week, he made sure to take me to the clinic.
I am very grateful for all his help, kindness and the warmth received from his family. This is a friendship I will take with me forever as I leave Timor-Leste for Australia tomorrow.
