Day 035 (05 Feb 2023) - Dili to Manatuto, Timor-Leste
Day 035 (05 FEB 2023) – Later, we rode our bikes to Manatuto, about 70 km from Dili. We had ‘ketupat’ with ‘ikan bakar’ for lunch, by the beach. This was a first – like most Malaysians, I am used to eating ‘ketupat’ with ‘kuah kacang’ along with ‘satay’. I tried something new and it tasted good!
My Indonesian biker friends from the 'Niki Niki' biker group were in Dili for two (2) nights and three (3) days. They drove all the way from Kupang, Indonesia and spent these few days riding along with me visiting several places around Dili.
I am grateful for these new friendships and wonderful memories. A common passion for motorbikes and bike riding binds us all together regardless of race, religion or our differences!
