Day 026 (27 Jan 2023) - Receiving a token of appreciation from the head of Desa Waibao!
DAY 026 (27 JAN 2023) – Stayed overnight at Larantuka. Today I visited the ‘Tugu 0 KM Pulau Flores’, about 47 km from Larantuka. Places like this have huge significance for long distance riders like me.
I have completed riding a distance of 669 km and 6690 corners along various routes, each with its own challenges – all the way from one end of the Flores Island in East Nusa Tenggara (Labuan Bajo) up to this particular point of the island (Desa Waibao)!
As a token of appreciation, the Head of Desa Waibao, Mr. Heri Aran presented me with a certificate, a T-shirt and a ‘Selendang’ (shawl). According to him, I am the first Malaysian to have achieved such a feat!
After this momentous event, I boarded a ferry (with my motorcycle) to Kupang at 10.30 am - Arrived late at night since the ferry only left at 1.30 pm.
