Day 021 - Two-Wheeled Adventures: An Enjoyable Bike Trip in Labuan Bajo with Fellow Bikers

Day 021 (22 Jan 2023) - Labuan Bajo, Indonesia

DAY 021 (22 JAN 2023) – As soon as I arrived at the Labuan Bajo port yesterday evening, I was warmly greeted by a fellow biker, Ahmad who lives in Labuan Bajo with his family. He is a member of the bikers group called ‘Bikers 1000 Tikungan Flores’.

Today, Ahmad took me on a bike trip with a few friends and his elder son, Gemilang who is 11 years old. We rode our individual motorbikes around Labuan Bajo City, up to Gorontalo, Nanga Nae, and Golo Mori. Gemilang was happy to ride with me as a pillion passenger.

It was a wonderful experience riding around this amazing island, with such beautiful landscapes all the way! I enjoyed the scenic view of rolling hills, rugged volcanic mountains and the amazing blue sea – it was out-of-this-world! I made sure to take some pictures and videos!

Later, I met Ahmad's wonderful family who greeted me warmly. I joined them for some delicious lunch which they had prepared for a picnic by the beach. Since it was a Sunday, it was crowded with many families spending their weekend at the beach - how can you not when you live in one of the most beautiful islands in the world!

Fun facts : Labuan Bajo is a fishing town located at the western end of the large island of Flores in the Nusa Tenggara region of East Indonesia. It is the capital of the West Manggarai Regency. From a small fishing town, it has flourished to become the gateway to many exotic destinations in East Nusa Tenggara - both on land and sea. It is also known as the city of sunset, with amazing views of the sky.
