Day 011 (12 Jan 2023) - Sungai Penuh to Bengkulu, Indonesia
DAY 011 (12 JAN 2023) – Left in the morning for a nine hour journey from Sungai Penuh to Bengkulu.
Stopped along the way to see a small waterfall along the road, about 30 km from Sungai Penuh.
Made sure to fill up fuel (especially whenever tank showed half) because unable to get patrol in certain places, or (sometimes) have to endure long queues.
There are 2 types of fuel prices here, Rs 10,000 (RM2.86) and another Rs 13,000 (RM 3.71).
Compared to the last few days, this journey was breezy! – Rode along the beach on the West Sumatera route with strong waves and strong winds blowing.
Stopped by at Pantai Air Punggur briefly - the scenery was beautiful all the way!
I managed to reach Bengkulu before dark.
Stayed at Splash Hotel, very nice and clean with friendly staff. They took great care of my motorbike and assured its safety. The hotel rate is Rs 350,000 (RM 100) per night.
